Check out this note from Highland Park spokesman, Sgt. Lance Koppa, regarding the Town's debris removal as a result of the recent ice storm:

The recent winter storm caused noticeable damage to trees throughout the Town. Town Officials and Republic Waste Services are assessing the damage and developing an action plan to address the collection and disposal of the debris. All of the roadways are clear, and Town personnel are in the process of removing low hanging branches over sidewalks.

When residents survey their property and begin cleanup, it’s paramount for all brush and debris to be placed at the curb in front of their home. Debris that is placed in the alley or easement will not be picked up. The combination of debris from public and private property will be significant; however, The Town and Republic Waste Services are working to get the brush and debris removed in a timely manner.

Residents may report low hanging branches over sidewalks and in the park areas by calling 214-521- 4161, or make the notification online by visiting www.hptx.org, and click the, “Report a Concern” tab on the right hand side of the Town home page.
