OCTOBER 12

Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
A 29-year-old resident of Dallas was pulled over while driving a 2006 Lexus IS 250 because the vehicle had an expired registration sticker at 8:50 a.m. in the 5400 block of Sewanee Avenue. After the officer made contact with the driver, the officer discovered that the driver's insurance card had expired, so the officer called the insurance company to "verify financial responsibility status" but learned that the driver had not renewed the insurance policy. Because of which, the vehicle was impounded, and while the officer inventoried the vehicle's contents, he discovered a 16-inch bong, so the driver was written a citation for possessing drug paraphernalia.
