AUGUST 13

Vehicle Burglary
A 32-year-old resident reported that a "framed and signed Dirk Nowitzki basketball jersey" was stolen out of his 2009 Volkswagen Passat between 9 p.m. Aug. 12 and 10 a.m. Aug. 13 while it was parked in the 4500 block of Lorraine Avenue.

Found Property
A 62-year-old resident reported that she found a Trek mountain bicycle in a flowerbed in the front of her residence at 2:42 p.m. in the 4500 block of Lorraine Avenue.

AUGUST 14

Striking Unattended Vehicle
A 49-year-old resident of Dallas reported that an unknown vehicle scratched her 2008 Lexus RX 350, and no information was left at the scene between 6:30 p.m. and 9 p.m. Aug. 11 while it was parked in the 4300 block of Edmondson Avenue.

Building Burglary
A 46-year-old resident reported that two bicycles were stolen out of the "detached portable storage building behind his residence" between 8 a.m. July 29 and 3 p.m. Aug. 13 in the 5000 block of Abbott Avenue.

AUGUST 15

Habitation Burglary
A 53-year-old resident reported that an unknown person entered his residence and stole a computer between 10 p.m. Aug. 14 and 6 a.m. Aug. 15 in the 4600 block of Livingston Avenue.

AUGUST 16

Theft
A 41-year-old resident of Kingwood, Texas, who works at Cole Haan in Highland Park Village, reported that two pairs of aviator sunglasses were stolen from the store between 9:45 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.

AUGUST 17

Theft
An 86-year-old resident reported that a $500 tiller and a $279 chainsaw were stolen from an outdoor storage closet at his residence, and four Bose outdoor speakers were stolen from "obscured locations around the backyard" sometime between July 14-17 in the 4600 block of Mockingbird Lane.

Theft
The manager of the Jos. A. Bank in the 4200 block of Oak Lawn Avenue reported that someone stole $1,620 worth of shirts from the store between 3:30 p.m. Aug. 16 and 8:45 a.m. Aug. 17.

Failed to Leave ID at Accident
A 63-year-old resident reported that her 2002 Honda Accord was struck by another vehicle between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m. July 21 in the 4500 block of Abbott Avenue, but the driver of the other vehicle refused to provide insurance information after a cost estimate of the damage had been received.

AUGUST 18

Theft
A 54-year-old resident reported that the third-row seats were stolen out of a 2007 Cadillac Escalade and a 2007 GMC Denali parked outside of her home between 10 p.m. Aug. 17 and 8 a.m. Aug. 18 in the 3600 block of Crescent Avenue.

AUGUST 19

Theft
A 21-year-old resident reported that the tailgate was stolen off his 2008 Ford F-250 between 10 a.m. Aug. 17 and noon Aug. 19 in the 3600 block of Euclid Avenue.

Theft
A 25-year-old resident reported that his bicycle was stolen between 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. from the driveway of his residence in the 3300 block of Mockingbird Lane.

AUGUST 20

Vehicle Burglary
A 50-year-old resident reported that she witnessed someone stealing a GPS system from the front dashboard of her 2011 GMC Yukon XL at 5:30 a.m. in the 4500 block of Livingston Avenue, but the person fled the scene and got away.

Vehicle Burglary
A police officer who was on patrol noticed that the "rear glass lift-gate" of a 2010 GMC Yukon, which belongs to a 30-year-old resident, was open and the vehicle's navigation/entertainment system had been stolen by an unknown person. The incident occurred sometime between 5 p.m. Aug. 17 and 5:48 a.m. Aug. 18 in the 4300 block of Edmondson Avenue.

Vehicle Burglary
A 36-year-old resident reported that a GPS system and radio control display had been stolen out of his Chevrolet Suburban between 5:30 a.m. and 5:59 a.m in the 4400 block of Livingston Avenue.

Vehicle Burglary
A 59-year-old resident reported that a GPS system was stolen out of his GMC Yukon between 8:15 p.m. Aug. 19 and 6 a.m. Aug. 20 in the 4300 block of Beverly Drive.
