Highland Park, Texas (Sept. 24-30)

SEPTEMBER 24

Theft
A 47-year-old resident reported that someone stole her child's bicycle and gym bag, containing a portable DVD player, six DVDs and an Apple iPhone, which were left outside of her residence between 9:30 a.m. and 10 a.m. in the 4400 block of Southern Avenue.

Theft
A Town of Highland Park Municipal Court employee reported that a catalytic converter was stolen from her 2007 Toyota Sequoia between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. in the 4300 block of MacArthur Avenue.

SEPTEMBER 25

Theft
A 48-year-old resident of Dallas who works at Hermes in Highland Park Village reported that someone stole a $940 pair of moccasins and an employee's Apple iPhone 4 from the store between 2:14 p.m. and 2:40 p.m.

SEPTEMBER 27

Theft
A 30-year-old resident of Dallas who is a manager at Mi Cocina in Highland Park Village reported that a woman's purse, containing an Apple iPhone 4S, $20 cash, key chain, driver's license, numerous credit and debit cards and her son's birth certificate, was stolen from the back of her chair while she was eating dinner at the restaurant between 7:40 p.m. and 8 p.m.

SEPTEMBER 29

Theft
A 50-year-old resident reported that one of her children witnessed a man enter the backyard of their residence through an unlocked gate by the alley and steal a bicycle around 11:40 a.m. in the 5000 block of Airline Road.

Failed to Leave ID at Accident
A 25-year-old resident of Dallas reported that her 2012 Mazda 6 was struck by another vehicle at 12:15 p.m. in the 3200 block of Mockingbird Lane. The reporting person said that after the incident the other driver handed her a napkin that had contact information written on it, which was later discovered to be fake, then drove away.

Damage to Town Property
An 18-year-old resident of Dallas reported that the 2004 Land Rover he was in hydroplaned on a wet roadway and collided with a tree, belonging to the Town of Highland Park, which caused the vehicle to roll onto its passenger side at 7:01 p.m. in the 4600 block of Westside Park.

SEPTEMBER 30

Recovered Stolen Property
A 32-year-old resident reported that a 2012 Triumph Daytona 675R motorcycle was parked behind his residence for two days, which police discovered had been stolen upon their arrival at the scene, at 2:47 p.m. in the 4600 block of Mockingbird Lane.
