The Running Scots competed this past Saturday at the Marcus I Invitational held at North Lakes Park in Denton.  The Varsity Elite finished 27th overall and were led by Jack Alessio and Eric Lara.  Varsity Open finished 19th and were led by Reese Hathaway and Matthew Lippman.  JV Elite finished 16th overall and were led any strong performances from Luke Stone and Jacob McMullen who both completed the course with personal best times.  JV Open finished 18th overall and were led by Pele McCarthy.  The Golden Spike Award goes to Eric Lara who has put together two strong performances the past two weeks going under 18 minutes.  Six runners finished with personal best times at Marcus.  The Running Scots will compete in the Southlake Carroll Invitational this coming Saturday at Bob Jones Park in Southlake.  Go Scots!
