Varsity 5A Team of Alai Furqan, Joseph Linck, Alex Bandy, Charlie Campbell, Luke Stone, Michael Stewart, Matthew Lippman and Ethan Moss

The Running Scots competed well at the 25th annual McNeil Cross Country Invitational on Saturday held at Old Settlers Park in Round Rock, TX.  In the Varsity Gold division the team finished 52nd overall and were led by Jack Alessio, Eric Lara, and John Moss who each finished with personal best times under 17 minutes.  

In the 5A Varsity division the team finished 17th overall and were led by Joseph Linck who finished with a season best time of 17:29.  Pierce Whiteman, Rowan Hegarty, Matthew Lippman, Ethan Moss, Alex Bandy, Jacob McMullen, and Michael Stewart also finished with person best times on Saturday.  10 runners total.

The Golden Spike award for runner of the week goes to Jack Alessio, Eric Lara, and John Moss who finished the race only 11 seconds apart.  The team will compete this Friday at the Jesuit XC Classic at Norbuck Park in Dallas.  Start time 8:00 AM.  Go Scots!
