Highland Park High School's varsity football team completed more than 500 offensive yards in its 35-21 road victory over Sherman on Friday.

Here are three takeaways from the match up:

  • Highland Park's quarterback Jet Tuma scored four rushing touchdowns in the game.
  • Senior running back Hank Howard gained more than 180 yards on the ground for the Scots, including a 91-yard run for a touchdown.
  • The Scots now have a 2-1 record, with the loss coming from Aledo in the season opener.

The next game for Highland Park is not until 7:30 p.m. Sept. 28 at Highlander Stadium when the Scots will play their homecoming game against Forney.
