Porsche Dallas recently hosted a launch party for the new, all-electric Porsche Taycan (rhymes with icon, which it is clearly destined to be.) Sponsored by the Joule Hotel in downtown Dallas at the iconic Eye sculpture, the outdoor event gave guests the opportunity to stroll around the lawn while eating, drinking and, of course, experiencing the stylish Porsche Taycan.

Enjoying a perfect Summer evening beneath towering skyscrapers, guests munched on street tacos, chicken meatballs, and Wagu beef sliders, courtesy of the Joule Catering. Refreshments included specialty cocktails, such as the Electric Taycan by the Midnight Rambler. A deejay kept the electrified vibe going with pulse-pumping beats under the stars.

Flanking the iconic Eye sculpture were two glistening Porsche Taycans: a Chalk Turbo S and a Neptune Blue 4S. Boasting up to 750 horsepower, the Porsche Taycan is a four-door sports sedan that accelerates faster than a skydiver in free fall. Car & Driver magazine said, “Using 60-mph times as the measuring stick, the Taycan Turbo S is the third-quickest car we’ve ever tested… The 2.4-second sprint to 60 also matches that of the 1001-hp Bugatti Veyron 16.4. The only electric car with a two-speed transmission, the all-wheel-drive Taycan Turbo S leaps off the line in a way that makes many gasoline-powered supercars seem sluggish.”

Starting at $79,900, the Taycan can handle tight curves like a true sports car while also offering the smooth ride and comfortable amenities of a luxury sedan.

Social media lit up with photos of guests posing beside and inside the stunning Taycans and in front of the mysterious Eye. Guests also mugged in the photo booth, sponsored by Blue Diamond Garage & Home Solutions, and were treated to swag bags, including a Porsche-branded wireless phone charger and the latest issue of D Magazine, upon their departure.
