Parish Robotics competed in the 2013 Dallas BEST competition “Gatekeeper” against 23 teams. This year’s game was designed around the process of manufacturing a CPU. The three scoring areas represented creating logic gates from transistors, fabricating integrated circuits from the logic gates and finally creating a processor and memory unit from the integrated circuits.

The team greatly improved from their performance from last year. They advanced into the semifinals and earned a Top 6 finish in the robot competition. The team also earned better scores on their engineering notebook and interview/presentation section.

"The students learned a ton and had a great time," Robotics team leader Dave Cribbs said. "Thanks to all of our supporters and those who helped behind the scenes ahead of time."
