2012 Tom Landry Classic

The heat got to Highland Park High School's football team at its season opener, the Tom Landry Classic, which Aledo won by a score of 31-12, on Friday at SMU's Ford Stadium.
During the game, several Highland Park players were treated for muscle cramps and other heat-related injuries, which you can see in the photos below.
Despite the HP loss, here are some takeaways from the game:
- Aledo completed 425 offensive yards, and Highland Park had 261.
- Highland Park went 12-23-2 in passing for 205 yards.
- The Scots rushed the ball 33 times for 56 yards.
- Senior wide receiver Hunter Feagans (No. 3) had the most receiving yardage for the Scots, catching three passes for 106 yards.
Highland Park's next game is against Monterrey Tech at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 7 at Highlander Stadium.
