JULY 15

Criminal Mischief
A 32-year-old resident of Euless reported that he fell asleep at the wheel of his 2006 Lincoln Navigator at about 4 a.m. on July 14 while he was traveling northbound in the 5300 block of Armstrong Avenue, which caused him to veer into the southbound lane, jump the curb and veer back into the northbound lane. A "1.5 foot diameter hardwood tree, turf and possibly the sprinkler system" located in a parkway where the vehicle jumped the curb were damaged, and the vehicle could not be driven after the incident.

Criminal Mischief
A 57-year-old resident reported that someone wrote an offensive sentence in German with white shoe polish on the rear window of her 2009 Toyota Corolla between 10 p.m. on July 14 and 7 a.m. on July 15 while it was parked in the driveway of her residence in the 3300 block of Beverly Drive. The victim's son had previously driven the vehicle home from college but had already gone back to Austin for school.

(All of the information was provided by the Highland Park Police Department.)
