If you have traveled on Hillcrest Avenue near SMU's campus recently, you may have noticed that a familiar building is, well, missing.

The building that used to be the location of Blockbuster at the intersection of Hillcrest Avenue and Haynie Avenue is currently being demolished to make way for a new Chase Bank.

After the old Blockbuster building gets fully demolished and the site gets cleared of debris, construction will begin on a new Chase Bank building, which is expected to open later this year.
