The Fort Worth Botanic Garden is well known for its Japanese Garden, 7.5 acres filled with cherry trees, Japanese maples, magnolias, bamboo, bridges and ponds filled with koi fish. The Japanese Garden is recognized in both spring and fall with a Japanese Festival, which celebrates Japanese art and culture along with the spectacular garden. This year’s spring festival will be held April 20-21.

During the festival, Rock Springs Café, the food and beverage purveyor in the Fort Worth Botanic Garden, will be offering a sake bar in celebration of Japanese culture. The bar will feature both hot and cold sake and sake-based cocktails:

  • Tropical Sake: Sake, pineapple juice, orange juice, grenadine
  • Sake Mule: Sake, ginger beer, club soda, lime
  • Sake Mojito: Sake, mint, club soda, lime
  • Orange Sake Breeze: Sake, orange juice, club soda

Sake cocktails are priced at $12 each; cold and hot sake will be available for $9.

Advance tickets to the Japanese Festival are $12 adults, $10 seniors 65+, $6 kids 6-15 and free for kids 5 and younger. Tickets purchased the day of the event or at the door are $3 more. Find them at fwbg.org/japanesefestival.

One of the most beautiful places in all Fort Worth, the Fort Worth Botanic Garden features 120 acres of stunning garden views, horticultural displays, exciting exhibits and more. In the middle of it all, Rock Springs Café offers delicious bistro-style food and drinks for guests to enjoy inside the café, on the covered patio, or to-go. Whether guests are looking for a latte, a glass of wine, or a garden-made lunch, the café, owned and operated by Kelcher Entertainment Group, is the place to stop during visits to the Garden.
