It's official: The city of Dallas has tied the record for the number of 100-degree days this summer.

Monday's high temperature of 101 degrees is the 69th time in 2011 that the temperature has reached the triple-digit mark — tying the record set in 1980.

We're poised to break the current record with expected highs being around 105 degrees on Tuesday.

The National Weather Service announced last week that Texas just finished the hottest June through August on record in the United States.
