HPMS lacrosse players celebrate their win in Plano.

Highland Park Middle School lacrosse players had a successful weekend at the Texas Draw, the biggest lacrosse tournament in the area, winning the "A" championship bracket.

Coached by Ross Thomson, the U-15 (under 15 years of age) Highland Park select team finished first in their division at the Plano-based competition and thereby qualified for the nationals in November

Teams travel to Texas from Kansas and Louisiana to compete in the Texas Draw. Highland Park has one of the best programs in the state and has won at least seven championships in the last ten years. Conor Stone made the game-winning shot in the championship game against TNT in the third overtime. All boys on the team attend HPMS. Their next tournament is the 8th Annual Denver Shootout in Colorado June 14-16.
