AUGUST 7 

EVADING ARREST DETENTION WITH VEHICLE

Two officers were driving northbound in a patrol vehicle in the 4900 block of Preston Road at approximately 8:03 PM. One officer observed a male on a motorbike who was closely following a passenger car. It appears as though the biker was attempting to hide the fact that the front headlight on the motorbike was missing. The cops attempted to pull over the biker, but he accelerated through the intersection at a high rate of speed. The cops attempted to follow him but lost him. He is now wanted on the charge of evading arrest or detention with a vehicle. 

DAMAGE TO TOWN PROPERTY

At 11:10 AM, an officer was dispatched to check out a sign at Roland and Arcady Avenue that had been struck by a driver. The suspect reporting person that he had accidentally struck a one-way sign on the corner of the intersection while trying to turn. 

THEFT OF PROPERTY 

An officer responded to a call of a concrete mixer that was stolen from a construction site in the 4900 block of Abbott Avenue. The reporting person explained that an unknown suspect removed the mixer without permission from where it had been chained in the backyard. 

BURGLARY OF A VEHICLE 

At approximately 2:24 PM, an officer was dispatched to the 4700 block of Drexel Drive in reference to a burglary of a vehicle report. The burglary was believed to have taken place in the 4200 block of Oak Lawn Avenue. The victim informed police that someone had entered her vehicle without permission and stolen a briefcase, which contained $2,000 in cash, an iPad, blank checks, and important documents. 


AUGUST 9 

BURGLARY OF A VEHICLE

An officer was dispatched to the 4500 block of Westway Avenue at 1:00 PM. He arrived on the scene and met with the victim, who stated that someone entered his vehicle without permission and removed property between 9:50 AM and 9:56 AM. The vehicle was parked behind his house when the event occurred. He returned just six minutes after leaving the car to find that his glove box had been open and that two iPhones and some cash were stolen. 

BURGLARY OF A VEHICLE 

At 4:00 PM, an officer responded tot he HP dispatch lobby to meet with a resident who claimed their vehicle was burglarized on August 1. The victim stated that she resides in the 4600 block of Edmondson Avenue and that she parked her car at 4:00 PM on August 1. When she returned the next day at 11:00 AM, she found that six dresses had been stolen from the driver's side back seat.
