OCTOBER 2

Criminal Mischief
A 44-year-old resident reported that an unknown person broke a window to her 2003 Lexus between 7:30 p.m. Oct. 1 and 7:44 a.m. Oct. 2 while it was parked in the 4500 block of Bowser Avenue.

OCTOBER 3

Failed to Leave ID at Accident
A 26-year-old resident of Dallas reported that an unknown vehicle struck her 2011 Nissan Altima between noon and 6:30 p.m. on Oct. 2 while it was parked in the 3100 block of St. Johns Drive, but no information was left at the scene.

OCTOBER 5

Theft
A 47-year-old resident reported that numerous jewelry items, among them a "14K heavy gold wire and diamond bracelet with 64 diamonds and safety clasp 1/2 (inch) wide approximate value $20,000.00," were stolen from her home between June 1 and Oct. 5 in the 4500 block of Lorraine Avenue.

Theft
A 37-year-old resident reported that an unknown person stole a package that contained a $385 vest from Saks Fifth Avenue, which was left on her front porch, between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Oct. 2 in the 4400 block of Belclaire Avenue.

Damage to Private Property
A 59-year-old resident reported that his wife damaged the undercarriage of her 2004 Nissan Quest at 5:10 p.m. Oct. 4 in the 4000 block of Beverly Drive, because the street was under construction, and she happened to drive over a manhole, which was raised above the surface of the road but did not have cones around it, causing about $2,000 worth of damage to the vehicle.

OCTOBER 6

Habitation Burglary
A 40-year-old resident reported that her $800 bicycle was stolen out of her garage, which was left open, between 5 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. in the 4400 block of Southern Avenue.

Found Property
A Highland Park police officer found a "tan Coach diaper bag" at 7:30 p.m. on a park bench in the 4900 block of Abbott Avenue.

Striking Unattended Vehicle
A 36-year-old resident of Dallas reported that his 2009 Nissan Altima was struck by an unknown vehicle between 7:30 p.m. and 9 p.m. in the parking lot of the Whole Foods store in the 4100 block of Lomo Alto Drive, but no information was left at the scene.
