During its first Thursday night game of the season, Highland Park High School's varsity football team beat North Forney by a score of 50-7 on Oct. 4 on the road.

Here are a few takeaways from the game:

  • The Scots amassed a total of 491 offensive yards, while holding N. Forney to only 210.
  • Highland Park's offense rushed the ball 47 times for 333 yards and completed 11 of 22 passing attempts for 158 yards and no interceptions.
  • Hank Howard, a senior running back for the Scots, was the team's leading rusher during the game, going 90 yards on 14 plays.
  • HP senior wide receiver Hunter Feagans was the led the Scots in receiving yardage with four catches for 55 yards.

The Scots now have a 4-1 record and will be playing their next game against Poteet on the road at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 11.
