Ronald McDonald House of Dallas Moonlight Ball Beth Ewing, hostess; Lauri and Mike Hainsfurther, Honorary Chairs; Melissa Utley, Moonlight Ball Event Chair; Jill Cumnock, CEO of Ronald McDonald House of Dallas

The Ronald McDonald House of Dallas (RMHD) announces the 2013 Moonlight Ball to be held on Saturday, April 6 to raise funds for the home-away-from-home for families of seriously ill or injured children. This celebratory black tie affair will be held at Brook Hollow Golf Club with cocktails starting at 7 p.m., followed by dinner and dancing. Co-chairs for The Ronald McDonald House of Dallas Moonlight Ball are community leaders and House supporters Melissa and Steve Utley. Melissa serves on the Advisory Board for RMHD. The Honorary Chairmen are longtime supporters Lauri and Mike Hainsfurther. Mike is also an Advisory Board member.

On February 27, Beth and Fin Ewing hosted a sponsor reception with libations and hors d’oeuvres at their home to thank the underwriters and sponsors. Melissa Utley thanked all the sponsors and the Hainsfurthers for their support of the House throughout the years. Lauri Hainsfurther thanked everyone and added that her children, who grew up with the Utley children, volunteered together at the House as children, where they cooked and served meals for the families. She added that her son and daughter-in-law, who live in Little Rock, volunteer at the local Ronald McDonald House, carrying on the tradition that they started in Dallas.

Jill Cumnock, CEO of the Ronald McDonald House of Dallas, said, “We can’t thank you enough for the love, support and hours you and your families have contributed to the House. We appreciate all that you’ve done and continue to do to tell others about this home-away-from-home in Dallas.”

For those interested in attending, tickets start at $500 for individuals and $1,000 for couples, and tables start at $5,000. Sponsorships are also available.
