Highland Park ISD reported that in its quest to collect antique district items to celebrate its upcoming 100th anniversary, one generous man donated a seat from the original Highlander Stadium built in 1924.

Now, it doesn't look like something I'd particularly want to sit on to watch a football game, but then again, modern-day bleachers aren't exactly nice to your rear end after a while.

Anyway, the district is asking anyone with HPISD memorabilia to send it their way so they can display the items in its campuses throughout the 2014-2015 school year (all items will be returned).

HPISD also received a pretty cool circa-1970 Bradfield sweatshirt, among other storied treasures.

You can drop off your items at the HPISD administration building, 7015 Westchester, 75205. Just don't forget to include your name and phone number with your items. For more information on donating items, please contact HPISD Director of Communications Helen Williams at 214-780-3008.

Photos and documents can also be emailed to the Communications Department through this link.
