Three Highland Park students formed a committee with their parents last winter to create a "Parkcities-Opoly" board game to celebrate four upcoming centennials: SMU, HP, HPISD, and UP. The game includes 25 trivia cards to enhance appreciation of the community. Recognizable longstanding merchants are also represented on the board. As a gift or keepsake, it should be fun for the whole family!

The committee, which both raised funds and underwrote the project, is now offering the game as a fundraiser to any student or community nonprofit. Qualified groups receive 100 percent of the profits ($12.95 per game) and must handle distribution. The games may also be sold on a consignment basis at events; 1,000 gameboards will arrive mid-October. Orders are now being accepted in a queue according to the date payment is received. Groups may circulate the order form and must submit a tax-exempt form.

Individual purchasers may also use the order form to reserve a game.

The project was sponsored by LegacyTexas Bank. For more information, contact Deanna Charles at DeeChar@gmail.com or 214-681-2121.
