Highland Park Night Out, which is the city's version of the "National Night Out" event that promotes neighborhood spirit and a police-community partnership, will be hosted from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Oct. 4 in Highland Park Village.

At the event, local residents will get a chance to meet the mayor, town administrator, librarian, members of the department of public safety and other city officials while supporting the fight against crime. Attendees will also have an opportunity to see the inside of a firetruck and ambulance.

The event is complimentary and open to the entire community, so bring your family and come out and support the city officials who serve and protect you everyday.
