Highland Park, Texas (March 26-30)

MARCH 26

Theft
A 51-year-old resident of Blue Ridge, Texas, who is the insulation contractor for a home in Highland Park that is under construction, reported that about 20 bags of home insulation valued at about $1,000 were stolen between 6 p.m. March 23 and 2 p.m. March 26 from the residence in the 3600 block of Euclid Avenue.

Damage To Town Property
A 47-year-old resident, who lives in the 3200 block of Cornell Avenue, reported that a van struck a light pole at 4:25 p.m. at the corner of Mockingbird Lane and Eastern Avenue then entered the Dallas North Tollway, heading southbound but did not leave information at the scene or make an attempt to contact the authorities at the time of the incident.

MARCH 28

Building Burglary
A 47-year-old resident of Dallas, who is working on a home in Highland Park that is under construction, reported that a $3,800 paint-sprayer/compressor was stolen between 4:30 p.m. March 27 and 7:30 a.m. March 28 in the 4300 block of Bordeaux Avenue.

Criminal Mischief
A 55-year-old resident of Little Elm, who is the construction supervisor for a home in Highland Park that is under construction, reported that graffiti that said "Success Isn't $ — It's Doing What You Love" and "(Expletive) The Noise" was spray painted on walls of the residence between 4:30 p.m. March 23 and 6 p.m. March 25 in the 3900 block of Lexington Avenue.

UPDATE: The graffiti was not on the house itself but instead walls that serve as a fence for the property.

Vehicle Burglary
A 27-year-old resident, who lives in the 4200 block of Lomo Alto Drive, reported that her 2004 Chevrolet Tahoe was broken into and the steering column was damaged in an apparent attempt by someone to steal the car while it was parked between 9:36 a.m. and 6:03 p.m. in the north lot of Highland Park Shopping Village.

MARCH 29

Theft
A 78-year-old resident, who lives in the 4600 block of Livingston Avenue, reported that two gray potting planters valued at $400 each were stolen from her front porch between 6 p.m. March 28 and 5:50 a.m. March 29.

Building Burglary
A 71-year-old resident, who lives in the 4400 block of Lomo Alto Drive, reported that $10,600 worth of items, including an antique pocket watch, multiple rings and gold loop earrings, were stolen from her apartment between Nov. 28 and Feb. 25.

Vehicle Burglary
A 51-year-old resident of Dallas, who was mowing a Highland Park home's lawn, reported that a $1,000 lawnmower was stolen from the rear bed of his truck between 11:30 a.m. and noon March 29 in the 4600 block of Southern Avenue.

MARCH 30

Striking Unattended Vehicle
A 32-year-old resident of Dallas reported that her 2007 Volvo S60 was struck by another vehicle between 11:50 a.m. and 12:50 p.m. while it was parked in the 3400 block of Armstrong Avenue, but no information was left at the scene.

Vehicle Burglary
A 53-year-old resident, who lives in the 4200 block of Belclaire Avenue, reported that his 2012 black GMC Denali was broken into and two bags of golf clubs were stolen between 9:24 p.m. and 9:32 p.m. while it was parked in the front driveway of his residence. The victim also reported that a third set of golf clubs was stolen out of his 2012 gray GMC Denali, during the same time period, which was also parked in the front driveway of his residence.
