Falyn Reaugh, High Jumping at the State Meet

The Lady Scots Track and Field Team has a long record of making an appearance at the State Meet. This year was no different.

Falyn Reaugh represented the Lady Scots last weekend at the 6A Track and Field State Meet in Austin. She competed very well, placing 4th overall in the Class 6A high jump with a jump of 5'6".

Commemorating the close of the 2016 track season, the Lady Scots held their Spring Banquet. The emphasis on Scholar Athletes was evident with 99 athletes achieving Academic All-District recognition and 12 seniors receiving recognition as Track and Field All-State awards winners from the Texas High School Coaches Association.

Academic All-State Award recipients:

  • Claire Cowie – 2nd Team
  • Lauren Diercks – Honorable Mention
  • Sarah Katherine Farmer – Honorable Mention
  • Elizabeth Hunt – Honorable Mention
  • Brooke Anne Jennings – 2nd Team
  • Morgan Jones – Honorable Mention
  • Dorothy Meachum – 2nd Team
  • Frances Peterman – 1st Team
  • Meredith Whalen – 2nd Team
  • Madison Womble – Honorable Mention
  • Katie Yeager – Honorable Mention

In addition junior Falyn Reaugh was selected to the All-State Team by the Texas Track and Field Coaches Association.

Special recognition was also given to the following award recipients:

  • Heart Award: Abbey Govett and Grace Watts
  • J.V. Athlete of the Year: Gracey Cobb
  • Varsity Field Athlete of the Year: Edie Terrell
  • Varsity Track Athlete of the Year: Hannah Booe and Sophie Schott
  • Scottie Award: (MVP) Falyn Reaugh
