AUGUST 20

Vehicle Burglary
A 50-year-old resident reported that the GPS system was stolen out of her 2007 GMC Yukon between 11 p.m. Aug. 19 and 8:58 a.m. Aug. 20 in the 4300 block of Beverly Drive.

Vehicle Burglary
A 35-year-old resident reported that the "in-car navigation system/stereo/DVD player unit" was stolen out of her 2009 GMC Yukon between 7 p.m. Aug. 19 and 11:25 a.m. Aug. 20 in the 4600 block of Southern Avenue.

Damage to Private Property
A 44-year-old resident of Dallas struck a two-foot high brick retaining wall with her 2006 Mercedes S350, which caused it to "crumble," at 12:42 p.m. in front of Whole Foods in the 4100 block of Lomo Alto Drive. The driver reportedly had a cast on her right foot because of an ankle break, which she said caused her to press the accelerator of the vehicle instead of the brake pedal.

Building Burglary
A 45-year-old resident reported that her son's $450 Trek bicycle was stolen out of her detached garage between noon Aug. 13 and 8:30 p.m. Aug. 17 in the 4200 block of Lorraine Avenue.

Motor Vehicle Theft
A 58-year-old resident of University Park reported that his 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee was stolen between 7 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. in the 4300 block of Westside Drive. The victim reported that he had left his car in the parking lot outside of his office with the keys inside for 30 minutes, and he discovered the car was missing when he returned.

AUGUST 21

Lost Property Report
A 59-year-old resident of University Park reported that her $75 Michael Kors wallet, which contained $295 cash, a driver's license, debit card, checkbook and a $200 gift card, was missing and the last time she remembered having it was between 8 p.m. and 9 p.m. Aug. 2 at Starbucks in Highland Park Village. The UP resident reported that she could not remember if she put the wallet back into her purse after paying for her items at Starbucks, and employees of the store were not able to find it the next day, so she cancelled her checks and the debit card, and the bank said her account had not been used.

AUGUST 22

Vehicle Burglary
A 39-year-old resident of Houston reported that a backpack, containing clothes and a wallet, was stolen out of his 2001 Ford Taurus between 8 a.m. and 9:43 a.m. in the 5000 block of Airline Road.

Vehicle Burglary
A 70-year-old resident reported that the third-row seat was stolen out of his 2012 GMC Yukon between 9:30 p.m. Aug. 21 and 8:30 a.m. Aug. 22 in the 3700 block of Harvard Avenue.

AUGUST 23

Criminal Mischief
A 59-year-old resident reported that the bolt on his storage shed had been cut, and the shed was left open, but no items appeared to be missing between 9:30 p.m. Aug. 22 and 7:30 a.m. Aug. 23 in the 3500 block of Dartmouth Avenue.

Vehicle Burglary
A 21-year-old resident reported that someone broke into the toolbox that is mounted in the bed of his 2008 Ford F250 and stole numerous items, among them a drill, sander, ratchet set, floor jack and miscellaneous screwdrivers, between 9 p.m. Aug. 22 and 11:30 a.m. Aug. 23 in the 3600 block of Euclid Avenue.

Failed to Leave ID at Accident
An 86-year-old resident of Dallas reported that his 2000 Mercedes Benz S430 was struck by an unknown vehicle, causing damage to the front bumper, but no information was left at the scene between 6 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. on Aug. 17 in Highland Park Village.

AUGUST 24

Found Property
A 65-year-old resident reported that an unknown bicycle was found in front of the west gate of her residence at 8 a.m. Aug. 20 in the 4300 block of Belclaire Avenue.

Identity Theft
A 24-year-old resident, who lives in the 3800 block of Shenandoah Avenue, reported that she was notified by her bank that someone made unauthorized purchases in New Jersey on her debit card account.

AUGUST 25

Failed to Leave ID at Accident
A 42-year-old resident of Addison reported that his BMW was struck by a 2000 Toyota Tundra, but the driver of the Tundra did not stop to exchange information at 9:43 a.m. in the 3300 block of Mockingbird Lane.

AUGUST 27

Vehicle Burglary
A 45-year-old resident reported that the GPS/Sirius radio unit was stolen out of her 2009 Cadillac Escalade between 8:30 p.m. Aug. 26 and 6:12 a.m. Aug. 27 in the 3600 block of Dartmouth Avenue.
