New signs may be going up around Southern Methodist University's campus and on a building at the Plaza at Preston Center.

Two public hearings about requests to install new signage will be held on Tuesday during the University Park City Council meeting, which begins at 5 p.m. at City Hall.

The first public hearing is to address SMU's request to install monument signs outside of the engineering and education schools and entryway signs on the northwest and southwest corners of the intersection of Central Expressway and SMU Boulevard. The second hearing is about a request for "two additional business identification wall signs" on the new office building that is currently under construction at the Plaza at Preston Center.
