Highland Park High School's varsity football team was able to bounce back from last week's loss to Aledo with a 34-23 win over Monterrey Tech from Monterrey, Mexico, on Friday night at Highlander Stadium.

Here are a few highlights from the game:

• The Scots completed 224 yards in the air and 105 yards on the ground against Monterrey Tech.
• HP quarterback Jet Tuma completed 17 of 26 passing attempts for 224 yards.
• Anthony Vallera led Highland Park's receiving corps with seven catches for 116 yards.

Highland Park's next game is at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 14 at Sherman.
