THEFT OF PROPERTY 

At approximately 4:40 PM, a police officer was on a routine patrol when he was notified that a property theft had occurred at the Fendi Store at Highland Park Village. Security reported that the suspect was a black male and had stolen goods without paying. It was also reported that he may have fled in a vehicle headed west on Livingston Avenue. 


AUGUST 24

THEFT OF A FIREARM 

Police were dispatched to the lobby of 4700 Drexel Drive in response to a reported firearm theft. The victim stated that between June 30 and July 7, an unknown person entered his vehicle and removed a pistol from it.

DAMAGE TO TOWN PROPERTY 

At approximately 1:05 AM, a police officer was on patrol and observed a damaged road sign at 4500 Arcady Avenue. The sign appeared to have been struck by a large object, which caused the sign pole and street sign to fall to the ground. 

THEFT OF PROPERTY 

A police officer was dispatched to the 4200 block of Oak Lawn Avenue in response to a report of possible credit card abuse at a retail store. The officer met with the victim, who stated that at approximately 11:37 AM on that day, a black female entered the store and tried to purchase a Rolex watch. When she swiped her card, it was declined. It is unclear as to whether the suspect stole the card or if it was a fake credit card. 

THEFT OF PROPERTY 

At approximately 8:27, a police officer was dispatched to the 4400 block of Mockingbird Lane in response to a reported theft. The officer met with the victim, who advised that at approximately 7:32 PM, an unknown black male took a package from his front porch without effective consent.
