The Park Cities office of Northern Trust, which provides financial services for affluent individuals, families and institutions, announced this month that J. Stanley Stevenson has been hired as a wealth strategist to work with prospective clients and figure out ways the corporation can help them reach their financial goals.

Stevenson's background includes working for two decades in the financial services industry — four of which were as a business development officer for Northern Trust. In addition, Stevenson spent nearly 15 years working for Belmont Wealth Management in the fields of marketing, investor relations and sourcing new investment opportunities, and he has worked in the banking and commercial real estate industries in Dallas.

"Stan's deep understanding of wealth management and strong community connections will help us continue to serve the needs of our Dallas clients and attract new business," said Mark Flagg, Northern Trust's Dallas Region President. "He will be a key addition to our team of highly seasoned experts in the Park Cities office."

Stevenson graduated from Southern Methodist University with a bachelor's degree in finance and an MBA. Currently, he serves as the fraternal Fiji Alumni Group president and on the 2012 March of Dimes Texas Chapter's Breakfast with a Champion fundraiser committee.
