Failure to Give Information
A resident of Del Valle, Texas, reported that a vehicle hit a 2012 Honda CX-9, belonging Avis Car Rental, but the driver did not stop and leave information at the scene between 7 p.m. and 7:50 p.m. in the 8300 block of Preston Center Plaza.
FEBRUARY 17
Vehicle Burglary
A 30-year-old resident reported that both front seats and the hood were stolen from her GMC Yukon between 5:30 p.m. Feb. 16 and 7:45 a.m. Feb. 17 in the 3300 block of Villanova Drive.
Forgery
A 44-year-old resident of Garland reported that someone used a fraudulent $50 bill to purchase items at a 7-Eleven store around 9:30 a.m. Feb. 16 in the 6200 block of Hillcrest Avenue.
Theft
A 53-year-old resident of Kennedale, Texas, reported that suspects stole $41,000 in property from the Kiva Kitchen & Bath store in the 2600 block of Fondren Drive and then resold the merchandise to customers and kept the payments between Feb. 13 and Feb. 17.
FEBRUARY 18
Vehicle Burglary
A 29-year-old resident reported that $495 worth of property was stolen out of his 1999 Jeep Cherokee between 2:40 a.m. and 2:49 a.m. in the 3200 block of Westminster Avenue.
Failure to Comply With Requirements on Striking Unattended Vehicle
A 64-year-old resident reported that a vehicle struck his 2011 Infiniti between 5:30 p.m. and 9:15 p.m. while it was parked in the 6400 block of Hillcrest, but the driver did not stop and leave information.
Failure to Give Information
A 42-year-old resident reported that a vehicle struck his 2009 Hyundai Genesis at 8:27 p.m. in the 6500 block of Preston Road, but the driver did not stop and leave information.
Theft of Firearm
A 40-year-old resident reported that a gun and ammunition were stolen from his unlocked car between 6 p.m. Feb. 17 and 7:30 p.m. Feb. 18 in the 3100 block of Westminster Avenue.
Driving While Intoxicated/Accident Involving Damage to Vehicle
An 18-year-old resident was arrested around 10 p.m. in the 3800 block of Greenbrier Drive after striking a parked vehicle with his car and then fleeing the scene. Officers detected that the driver was intoxicated.
FEBRUARY 19
Property Theft
A 39-year-old resident of Dallas reported that an unknown person entered her place of businesses and stole $64 of her property, including credit cards and cash, around 3:20 p.m. in the 8300 block of Preston Road.
FEBRUARY 20
Failure to Comply With Requirements on Striking Unattended Vehicle
A 42-year-old resident of Fairview, Texas, reported that an unknown vehicle struck his 1999 Chevrolet Tahoe between 12:30 a.m. and 8:10 a.m. while it was parked in the 4200 block of Normandy Avenue.
