The University Park Community League has endorsed mayoral and city council candidates for the city election on May 12.

The Community League is supporting mayoral candidate Dick Davis and city council candidates Bobby Clark, Bob Begert, Tommy Stewart and Dawn Moore. Each person who received an endorsement is an incumbent except for Moore, who currently serves on the UP planning and zoning commission.

"We're very pleased that these experienced and active University Park residents will run for elected office to serve the citizens of University Park," said Fred Hamm, the Community League chairman. "The quality of these candidates reflects the depth of leadership available to serve in our great community. These highly qualified candidates with substantial records of city government and civic involvement should do a great job for our community upon their election."

Having been around for more than 50 years, the Community League is an organization of UP residents that supports the City and promotes issues such as good government and safe neighborhoods.
