The Highland Park Lady Scots competed in their first official meet this past Saturday.  They are off to a strong start with the JV team placing 1st and the Varsity team taking 4^th in the Newman Smith Trojan Relays. 

Varsity Event leaders included:

• Falyn Reaugh  - 1^st place in the high jump and triple jump, and 3^rd place in the long jump.
• Grace Beitter - 1^st place in the 800 meter
• Sophie Schott  - 3^rd place in the 1600 meter.

The Scots took 2^nd in the 4x200 relay with the team of Falyn Reaugh, Abbey Govett, Val McWilliams and Hannah Booe.

They took 3^rd in the 4x400 relay with the team of Sophia Vidal, Grace Beitter, Maddie Stephens and Falyn Reaugh.

There were many JV standouts including:

• Elizabeth Thornton - 1^st in the high jump.
• Gracey Cobb - 2^nd in the long jump.
• Sarah Walker and Ella Brown - 1^st and 2^nd in the pole vault.
• Emma Chapel - 2^nd place in the triple jump.
• Alex Davey - 1^st place in the 3200 run.
• 1^st and 2^nd in the 800 meter - Julia Helton and Brynn Weekly.
• Ashley Adams -  3^rd in the 100 meter hurdles.
• Rachel Read - 3^rd in the 400 meter.
• Taylor Clark - 3^rd in the 200 meter.
• Stephanie Mara, Alex Davey and Julia Helton - 1^st, 2^nd, and 3^rd place 1600 meter.

The Scots took 1^st and 2^nd in the 4x400 meter relay with 1^st place team:  Zoe Durham, Rachel Reed, Ashely Booe and Julia Helton.

2^nd place team:  Peyton Soetenga, Brynn Weakley, Ana Watterson and Sophie Hung.

Overall, members of both teams achieved 17 personal records. Congratulations to the Lady Scots!
