The Highland Park High School softball program celebrated the start of the 2017 season with the annual alumni/parent game on Saturday.   Head Coach Michael Pullen will be leading a talented group of ladies with many new faces and young players.  HP Softball welcomes new Assistant Coach Leigh Vickery to the program.  Coach Pullen and Coach Vickery expect great things from this year's team.

The Lady Scots will be led on the field by Captains Sydney Thompson and Amanda Reenan. 

Rounding out the roster is Hilary Baker, Sadie Banks, Grace Brown, Maria Contreras, Dawson Dabboussi, Maisey Martinez, Sydney McDuffie, Makayla Morgan, Katie Reenan, Ava Sims, Riley Stafford, and Claire Walker with Sydney Scifres serving as the team manager.

The Lady Scots kick off their season on January 31 with a home scrimmage against Lake Highlands.  The team will then play a slate of non-district games and two tournaments before start of district play on March 7 with a home game against Lovejoy.  The complete 2017 HPHS Lady Scots softball schedule may be found here.
