OCT. 27

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF

A 59-year-old resident reported that an unknown suspect shattered the rear window to her 2012 Range Rover, leaving a rusted sewer cap in the cargo area, between 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. in the 3600 block of Cornell Avenue. Nothing was reported missing from the vehicle.

OCT. 28

DAMAGE TO TOWN PROPERTY

A 24-year-old San Antonio resident reported that her vehicle damaged a shrub in the 5100 block of Drexel Drive after another driver struck her vehicle at 8:11 a.m.

THEFT OF PROPERTY

A 44-year-old resident reported that her daughter’s bicycle was stolen from a bike rack at school between 1:15 p.m. and 1:35 p.m. in the 3600 block of Cornell Avenue.

IDENTITY THEFT

A 59-year-old resident in the 3200 block of Cornell Avenue reported that a known suspect opened a bank account using his personal information without his consent in February.

BURGLARY OF VEHICLE

A 61-year-old Dallas resident reported that she parked her car momentarily at 3:40 p.m. in a disabled parking space at Highland Park Village and left her driver’s side door open while helping her disabled mother exit another vehicle. When she returned to her vehicle, her purse, containing an Apple iPhone 6, her wallet and several gift cards, was gone.

THEFT OF PROPERTY

A 43-year-old resident reported that a bicycle and scooter were taken from the front porch of her residence sometime between Oct. 25 and Oct. 26 in the 3400 block of Harvard Avenue.

OCT. 30

THEFT OF PROPERTY

An employee of Chanel at Highland Park Village reported that a gray Chanel purse, valued at $3,100, was stolen at 12:30 p.m.

THEFT OF PROPERTY

A 36-year-old resident reported that her son’s mountain bike was stolen from the bike rack at his school between Oct. 23 and Oct. 26 in the 3600 block of Cornell Avenue.

CRIMINAL TRESPASS

A 46-year-old resident reported that an unknown suspect was in her gated and fenced back yard seen peering through windows around 2:16 p.m. in the 4300 block of Livingston Avenue. 

OCT. 31 

FAILURE TO LEAVE IDENTIFICATION

A 31-year-old Dallas resident reported that an unknown suspect struck the rear of her vehicle in the 4100 block of Wycliffe Avenue, but refused to exchange information. When the victim threatened to call the police, the suspect returned to his vehicle and drove away.

NOV. 1

DAMAGE TO PRIVATE PROPERTY

A Bedford resident was involved in a single-vehicle accident, damaging private property at 7:40 a.m. in the 3500 block of Armstrong Avenue.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF

A 27-year-old resident reported that an unknown suspect used a sharp object to create a large scratch down the side of her 2006 Mercedes C230 overnight in the 3200 block of Princeton Avenue.
