JANUARY EVENT DETAILS

Friday Movie Night

Jan. 3, 10, 17, 24, 31

7 – 9 p.m.

Catch your favorite family-friendly flicks on the big screen on Friday nights. Each movie will start at 7 p.m., weather permitting. Guests are encouraged to bring a lawn blanket to sit on. PGA District restaurants will be open to serve your favorite foods before and after each show. Concession snacks will also be available for purchase from roaming beverage carts. Outside food and drinks and lawn chairs are not permitted.

 

New Year Better You Fitness Series

Jan. 4, 11, 18, 25

9 – 10 a.m.

New Year, Better You! Join us for a January fitness series at Omni PGA Frisco Resort & Spa at PGA Frisco. Each Saturday of the month, a local fitness studio will host a 45–60-minute class inside of Panther Creek Event Pavilion.

 

Whether you’re a seasoned fitness guru or just beginning your journey, each class welcomes all levels of fitness. Admission to each class is $15 or buy a pass for all four (4) classes for $40. Reservations are available here.

 

Blood Drive with Carter BloodCare

Jan. 18

11 a.m. – 3 p.m.

PGA Frisco is proud to partner with Carter BloodCare this January in honor of National Blood Donor Month. This nonprofit organization currently provides more than 440,000 blood products annually to more than 200 hospitals serving patients across Texas.

 

The Carter BloodCare Bus will be in the Monument Realty PGA District on Saturday, Jan. 18 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Donors will receive a complimentary hooded long-sleeve shirt (while supplies last) courtesy of Carter BloodCare. All blood types are needed, especially “O” negative, the universal blood type that can save the lives of all patients. Walk-ups for the drive are always welcome, but reservations are encouraged. Mocktail Mulligan Happy Hour:

Start the New Year with a refreshing Dry January at Omni PGA Frisco Resort & Spa! Pitmasters in the Making: BBQ Class at the Ice House

Jan. 27

10 – 11 a.m.

Join us for an exclusive brisket smoking class at the Ice House led by our PGA Frisco Pitmaster and culinary team. This class is perfect for BBQ enthusiasts looking to learn the secrets to smoking the perfect brisket.

 

Our expert pitmaster, Rick Adamo, will teach you all of his tricks when it comes to selecting the right cut of meat, plus mastering the art of trimming, seasoning and smoking.

 

What to expect:

  • A welcome signature drink or mocktail
  • Overview and operation of our new indoor smoker and tour of our outdoor offset smoker
  • Explanation of the Ice House brisket spec and a demonstration on how to trim a Texas-style brisket for smoking
  • In-depth review of smoking procedures including temperature, time, wrapping and resting
  • Tutorial on how to slice a brisket, highlighting the differences between moist (point) and lean (flat) cuts
  • Opportunity to sample brisket straight off the smoker with three different styles of BBQ sauce
  • Q&A session with the Ice House’s pitmaster and culinary team
  • BBQ sauce takeaway gift
  • Guests receive priority seating in the Ice House if they choose to stay for lunch

 

Whether you’re a seasoned BBQ aficionado or a novice looking to learn, this class offers something for everyone.

 

This class is only open to 20 students and is hosted both indoors and outdoors. Early registration is recommended. Tickets for this event are $49 per person and can be purchased here.
