Highland Park junior Kaitlyn Read scored 27 points for the Lady Scots varsity basketball team during its 56-47 victory over the Lakeview Centennial Lady Patriots on Tuesday night in Garland.

Other big scorers during the game for Highland Park include Sydney McDaniel who had 9 points and Haylee Anigian-Rios, Amanda Goodwin and Libby Ethington who had six points each.

This victory puts the Lady Scots team at a 7-1 record for the season so far.

Highland Park's next game is against Sachse in the first round of a tournament hosted by Garland ISD at 2:30 p.m. today at the Garland ISD Special Events Center.
