HP vs. Rockwall-Heath

The Highland Park High School varsity football team beat the previously undefeated Rockwall-Heath Hawks by a score of 31-30 in an overtime thriller on Friday in Rockwall, which was the Scots twentieth-consecutive district win.

The Hawks were able to control Highland Park's running game, allowing only 58 yards on the ground during 28 carries, but the Scots were able to rack up 301 passing yards on offense. Highland Park's quarterback Brady Burgin completed 26 of 38 passing attempts for 279 yards in the air, but he had two interceptions.

Scots defensive back Mark Gottsacker also made two interceptions during the game for the Scots.

Highland Park will be playing its last game of the regular season against McKinney at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 4 at Highlander Stadium.
