HP vs. McKinney

The Highland Park High School Scots varsity football team beat the McKinney High School Lions by a score of 52-15 to wrap up an undefeated regular season on Friday night at Highlander Stadium.

During the game, Scots quarterback Brady Burgin completed 14 of 26 passing attempts for 192 yards on offense and two touchdowns. Highland Park's wide receiver William Morris caught nine passes for 120 yards and two touchdowns.

On the ground, running back Preston Miller rushed nine times for 120 yards for the Scots.

Overall, Highland Park amassed 196 passing yards and 167 rushing yards for a total of 363 yards on offense, which helped secure the victory to make the team's overall record 10-0 for the season.

Highland Park's first playoff game will be against Frisco Liberty at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Murphy's Kimbrough Stadium.
