Highland Park vs. Wylie (10/7/11) HP and Wylie players meet on the middle of the field for the coin toss.
Senior running back Jackson Hauser scored a game-winning touchdown for Highland Park High School with only 20 seconds left on the clock in the fourth quarter on Friday night, which helped keep the team's undefeated streak alive.

The Highland Park High School Scots beat the Wylie High School Pirates by a score of 24-21 in Wylie.

The Scots gave up 21 points to the Pirates in the first half but shut them down completely in second and scored 17 unanswered points during a game that came down to the last minute. The victory extended Highland Park's winning streak over Wylie to 14 consecutive games.

Several key players for the Scots were out this game because of illnesses and injuries, including senior running back Preston Miller and senior wide receiver Dalton Stogner, but the team was able to overcome the losses to remain undefeated.

Senior running back Jackson Hauser helped lead the team to its victory with 18 carries for 165 yards.

Highland Park's next game is against Richardson Peace at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 14 at Eagle-Mustang Stadium in Richardson, and HP Head Coach Randy Allen will be vying for his 300th win in Texas High School football as a coach.
