I remember exactly where I was the first time I heard Willis Alan Ramsey’s self-titled debut album. It was released fifty years ago, on May 5, 1972, but I didn’t hear it until almost twenty years later. It was a Saturday afternoon in the spring of 1990, and a buddy of mine, a guy named Mike Lung, had decided to be a songwriter.
