So far, in the early goings of District 11-5A play, the Highland Park High School Lady Scots have piled-up 61 runs in posting a 4-1 record.

Carrollton Creekview handed the Scots their only loss in an exciting, hard-fought 4-2 battle before spring break.  HP's Grace Brown had two hits and two stolen bases in the game.  Her fellow teammates Katie Reenan, Claire Walker and Ava Sims each added a hit.  Carrollton Creekview scored in the final inning to take the lead.  The Lady Scots visit Carrollton Creekview on Friday, April 12 to avenge the loss.

This past Tuesday night, the Lady Scots defeated R.L. Turner 11-0.  Senior captain Katie Reenan was 4-4 at the plate with a single, two doubles and a triple.  Reenan's bat has been hot all season, leading the team in hits and RBIs.  The Lady Scots' Ciara Fortenberry, Shelby Petit, Grace Brown and Ava Sims also snagged triple baggers in the game, with Sims recording two.

Highland Park's pitchers, Claire Walker and Lilli Reenan, have done their part, combining to pitch three shutouts in allowing only 8 runs over these games while striking out 26 batters.

The Lady Scots travel to Thomas Jefferson on Friday, March 22.  They will be back at the HPHS Softball Field on March 26 and March 29.
