The HPHS Varsity softball team poses with teachers honored in a pre-game ceremony last week.

Last Friday, March 1, the Lady Scots celebrated Teacher Appreciation Night with a big 20-0 run-rule win over Dallas Conrad.  Before the game, teachers were honored for the knowledge, encouragement and support they offer to HPHS students every day.

Join the Lady Scots in recognizing the following great teachers:

Jackie Moryan, Leigh Vickery, Kelli Davenport, Temple Truax, Caitlyn McGinn, Michael Pullen, Angela Paschall, Jay Ingram, Savannah Vardell, Wenzen Chuang, Brandi Childress and Jaclyn Oteo.

The Lady Scots are starting strong this season, going 3-0 in district play after an 11-0 win against Bryan Adams this past Tuesday.  Freshman infielder Ava White had a breakout game going 2-4, driving in 4 runs and making four plays for outs at second base.  Claire Walker, Dawson Dabboussi, Katie Reenan and Ciara Fortenberry also had multiple hits for the Lady Scots.

This Friday’s game against Carrollton Creekview will showcase two unbeaten district teams and could have early playoff implications.  Come cheer on the team at these upcoming home games;
