Edgemere senior living community is pleased to announce Alex Gonzalez as director of resident services. John Falldine, managing director of Edgemere, made the announcement.

“We are excited for Alex to serve in the role of director of resident services,” said Falldine. “Alex has worked at Edgemere for eight years in various roles and has continued to advance and assume new responsibilities. He is a very dedicated and has always risen to any occasion.  He is known and regarded among the staff and residents for his compassion and his willingness to go above and beyond.”

Prior to his role as director of resident services, Gonzalez served as supervisor of the Edgemere dining room. In that role, he was responsible for leading the service teams in the dining rooms for both independent living and health care. He managed schedules, was responsible for hiring and training all new employees and oversaw resident and guest events.

In his new role, Gonzalez will direct the housekeeping and laundry departments. He will manage the department budget, be responsible for hiring and training all new employees and will manage the maintenance and decoration of all common areas.

“I am so excited to take on this new role,” said Gonzalez. “Working here at Edgemere has been such a wonderful experience, and my favorite part is working with the residents. I look forward to daily interactions with them and to ensuring that my staff and I provide the top-notch service that our residents have come to expect.”
