Now that working remotely is the new normal, you may be getting a little tired of your home office, aka your kitchen table in a lot of cases. If you’re ready to leave the kitchen table (or the couch - we don’t judge!), or give the family new walls and outdoor scenery while you work with new surroundings, consider a ‘workcation’ in the lush Texas Hill Country.

The JW Marriott San Antonio Hill Country Resort & Spa invites you to bring the whole family out for a getaway complete with Hill Country views, high-speed wifi, a 9-acre waterpark that’ll tucker the kids out, and most importantly - plenty of space to spread out, refresh and stretch your mind.

Nothing helps the creative juices more than new surroundings for inspiration. Or just need what our boss’ call an attitude adjustment? Adjust your location, add a lot of fresh air, pour in great cuisine and top off with lots of activities within walking distance like a spa, golf, fitness center and four pools and loads of lounge chairs for work breaks and you are all set.

Supplement remote learning with a variety of children’s activities offered daily by the resort. Kiddos interested in animals and science can attend weekly Zoomagination presentations in which local animal conservationists bring out their furry, and sometimes scaly, friends for an educational afternoon. Kids can have a recess to remember at the River Bluff Water Experience, get some P.E. time in at the Backyard lawn, and finish the day with the perfect after school snack - s’mores!

Enjoy the Work, Learn & Play Package:

Switch up your home office view with the JW Marriott San Antonio Hill Country's Work, Learn, and Play package with room for your family or group. Rates begin at $899 using discount code "P91".

Enjoy deluxe accommodations in the spacious hospitality suite with connecting guest room ensuring plenty of space for your 'home' office, high-speed Wi-Fi in your room and throughout the property, and a 20% discount on all on-site printing and parcel fees (excluding outbound shipping) at the hotel’s Fed-Ex office.

Guest rooms include a comfortable desk and plenty of electrical outlets for you to use; get cozy in the ergonomic desk chair and log on for your work day. When you’re ready to leave the room, grab your laptop and set up your new office by one of the resort’s four pools, multiple outdoor shaded areas, indoor quiet niches and cozy spots or in the lounge areas after a relaxing treatment in Lantana Spa. When it’s time to unplug for the day, cocktails, a great selection of wine and lots of local beers on tap are available to toast the end of the work day.

The hospitality suite is perfect for work and play. A large living room with seating areas and an 8-seat dining table allow for collaboration and meals with your group, and the in-room refrigerator is ready to hold the perfect snacks for when inspiration hits during the night. Moon Marketplace with a $50 F&B credit per stay.

In celebration of its 35th anniversary and commitment to conserving the beautiful Turtle Creek corridor, the Turtle Creek Association (TCA) is excited to announce a virtual experience for the 19th Tour of Homes. After postponing the original event in April due to the COVID-19 pandemic, TCA is moving the Tour of Homes to an online experience in order to provide a safe viewing environment for everyone.

The 2020 Tour of Homes is the primary fundraiser for the non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing, preserving and protecting Dallas’ 87 acres of greenways and park land along the Turtle Creek Corridor. In recent months, Dallas residents have flocked to the corridor for exercise, fresh air and breathtaking scenery amid quarantine. The importance of preserving the wildlife and greenery along the corridor is now more important than ever.

A Virtual Experience – TV personality Jocelyn White will navigate virtual attendees behind the doors of luxurious homes located on Turtle Creek Boulevard, one of Dallas’ most scenic and prestigious addresses.

Not only will you learn about the creative process from the architects and designers during this event, but Jocelyn's interviews with the homeowners will dive deep into an emotional connection as the owners share personal stories about their art, antiques, heirlooms and other cherished collections. This additional acumen is what makes the Turtle Creek Association's Tour of Homes such an intimate experience.

You will also hear from homebuilder Mark Molthan and interior designer, George Bass, who are both well known for their unique custom styles that seamlessly balance luxury with livability as seen in the Regency Row Home.

“The virtual experience we have curated will highlight the beautifully designed homes along the Turtle Creek corridor and most importantly keep everyone safe,” said JD Trueblood, CEO of Turtle Creek Association. “Funds raised from the tour will be used to continue our efforts to re-landscape the medians along the Turtle Creek corridor. Our focus is on reducing our environmental footprint through the installation of a new drip line irrigation system that we estimate will save 5.5 million gallons of water per year.  We believe this investment is a critical step forward in creating a sustainable use of natural resources while balancing the beautiful aesthetic of the Turtle Creek Corridor. That’s why our goal is to raise $300,000 by the end of 2020 to complete the sustainability transformation of this iconic city owned area.”

Premiere Event - This year the Turtle Creek Association will host a live-in person or virtual “Premiere Event” showcasing Casa de Sueños, the spectacular Spanish Colonial residence of Lynda and Brian Roughton. Additional details regarding the “Premiere Event” is included in the ticket details below.
