Last Friday was a special day for the graduating seniors on the Highland Belles drill team.

The senior Belles took the field at Highlander Stadium for the last time of their high school careers during Highland Park's football game against McKinney on Nov. 4.

Each of the senior Belles was presented with a yellow rose, and the team's two directors, Shannon Harty and Emily Sanchez, were each presented with bouquets of 20 yellow roses during a special halftime presentation at the game, according to a press release from the Belles. Each rose represented one of the 20 seniors on the team.

The Belles will perform during Highland Park's football playoff games, basketball season games and two competitions in the spring.
