Construction is currently under way for a five story, mixed use building at The Plaza at Preston Center, which will also be the new location of the University Park Public Library.

Cindy Morris, the media informant for The Plaza, said the building that used to house Corner Bakery, Montana Salon, American Express Travel and Matthew Trent Jewelry was torn down as part of the construction project to make room for the new building.

"All of those stores have been relocated to new positions in the center," Morris said in an email.
