The Highland Park High School junior varsity basketball team, which has been dubbed the "The Magnificent Seven + 1," was able to overcome a 12-point deficit on Tuesday to the Pearce Lady Mustangs but ultimately lost the game 42-44 in overtime at J.J. Pearce High School.
The Highland Park girls junior varsity team's next game is against McKinney North at 6 p.m. Friday in the HPHS main gym.
