Sundance: Somewhere in the air over beautiful Utah
Sundance Film Festival is a 10-day festival set in the beautiful ski resort of Park City, Utah. In 1981, Robert Redford gathered a group of his friends and colleagues in the mountains of Utah to create an environment designed to foster independence, discovery, and new voices in American film. The festival draws thousands of attendees each year who all have one thing in common: film.
Sundance: Dinner at Talisker on Main
We tend to follow the following formula to get ourselves organized. Arrive, unpack, go grocery shopping and then we head over to the Sundance headquarters to pick up passes, tickets and all festival materials. And we always start with a lovely dinner before the festival starts and we get in to the Tasmanian devil schedule. This year we had dinner at Talisker on Main. Great food, wine and friends lead to amazing conversation and memories. I will try to share with you tidbits from my journey this year. This is my fourth Sundance to attend and I am eagerly awaiting to be wowed by the cinematic movement.
Sundance: Artist at the Table event
DAY 1:
We attended one of the opening nights films WHIPLASH as well as a special event – An Artist at the Table. Great film and terrific event. Chef Giada De Laurentiis was in attendance and designed the menu. Various artists were seated at tables to mingle with the donors. Our artist was Boyd Holbrook, who is at Sundance appearing in the film LITTLE ACCIDENTS. Loved hearing Mark Ruffalo speak passionately about why the Sundance Film Festival changed his life.
