Happy J U N E! We're officially into the summer months, so today let's look at some elevated summer basics that I know you will wear all summer long. These spring to summer transitional looks will take you through summer and even into early fall. My key to transitioning from spring to summer well? Neutral colors, lightweight fabrics, and light layering pieces. This allows you to look the part while being prepared for any weather.

Elevated Summer Basics

One piece that makes transitioning easy? Dresses. A perfect dress for all summer long is this linen midi dress (size S). I love the classic style. Plus, the linen is perfect for the heat. it comes in seven great color choices. If you like a fun print for summertime, then this gingham mini dress or this gingham shirtdress are the perfect options for you. Wear it to your next lunch or add heels for date night.

Since this can be a tricky time of year weather-wise, it's always a good idea to have a few versatile sweaters. This way if you experience a chilly morning or are in a freezing air conditioned space, you are prepared. In Texas it will be 100 degrees outside, but 60 inside so I always like to have a cardigan draped over my shoulders just in case, like this cropped cardigan sweater (size S). Another lightweight easy style is this cropped cardigan sweater (size S). I love the cute style and neutral colors. Plus, they both come in several color options.

It's also a good idea to have some easy throw-on pieces you can wear on repeat. If you're more of a T-shirt gal, then this mocha striped T-shirt (size S) is a must this season. I love the neutral print and casual style. You also need the perfect pants for this season. Pair your top with a lightweight pant, like these ecru mid rise jeans. The lighter color gives them a summer feel without the pants being too heavy or warm.

Don't forget about your accessories! This mini leather satchel is a gorgeous everyday bag that's the perfect neutral. You also need a great everyday sandal, like these leather slide sandals. And of course you need a chic pair of designer sunglasses.

Make it a great day!   xoxo - Tanya
