About
With vast experience as a Realtor, entrepreneur and marketer, Scott Deakins brings unparalleled business acumen to every real estate transaction. He has extensive knowledge of Dallas both from the commercial and residential sides and has repeatedly achieved Top Producer status throughout his career, crediting three marquis developments for this achievement-One Arts Plaza in The Arts District, The W and the House in Victory Park.

After the tremendous success of One Arts Plaza, Deakins secured the marketing contract for Victory Park, a 75-acre, $3 billion dollar, master planned urban development in the heart of Dallas. The development includes The W residences, the House and The Terrace.

Scott began his career in real estate development, branching out to include commercial leasing and tenant development. In 1992, he used his entrepreneurial talents to create Dallas' first bicycle messenger service. When he sold Uptown Express in 1998, the business had 40 employees delivering an average of 300 packages a day.

In 1997, Deakins helped create The Friends of the Katy Trail, the beginning of a ten year love affair with the hugely successful urban trail. Scott has worked tirelessly on the board of directors and is responsible for some of the major gifts that have turned the old railroad track into one of Dallas' most dynamic people places. Among other philanthropic endeavors, Scott has served as chairman of the board of DIFFA, the Design Industry Foundation Fighting Aids as well as opening the Trinity Center to market the Trinity River project.

"It is breathtaking to see what is happening to make Dallas one of the great cities of the world, with the Arts District, the Calatrava bridges, Victory Park , The Klyde Warren Park and of course, the Katy Trail,” he says.

Deakins is a native of Tyler, Texas, where he worked in his family’s oil and gas business. He’s a graduate of Southern Methodist University and holds a degree in economics and business administration.
